WELLS — The Wells Rotary Club will be hosting their annual HarborFEST on Saturday, July 26 at Wells Harbor Park. Over the last few years, HarborFEST has morphed from a chicken barbecue and concert into an all-day event offering family-friendly activities and exhibitors.

Center stage activities include a Classic Car Show from 12-4 p.m., the Wells Chamber of Commerce Silent Auction from 3-5:30 p.m., the Wells Rotary Club’s famous chicken barbecue from 4-6 p.m., a free concert by Straight Lace at 6:30 p.m., a bonfire at 8 p.m. and a talent show at 8:30 p.m..

Tickets for the chicken barbecue are available in advance at the Wells Chamber of Commerce Information Center at 136 Post Road, or from any Wells Rotarian.

Day-long activities will run from noon to 9 p.m. and include the Kid’s Crabbing Contest, Donut Eating Challenge, World Championship Lobster Trap Toss, kite building and decorating, free boat inspections, paddle board demos and tryouts, kayak races, Wells Fire Department Jaws of Life demo and fire extinguisher inspections, Wells Police Department K9 demo and children’s safety ID fingerprinting, Pirate Camp and Treasure Hunt, Wells Conservation Commission activities, face painting, balloons, R/C helicopter and drone demos, Lumberman’s Challenge, story book walk, art show and demonstrations, beer garden, and s’mores by the bonfire. Exhibitors will include the Historical Society of Wells and Ogunquit, the Wells Republican Party, Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, and the Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Wells Water District.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Wells Rotary Club Community Service Projects and the Wells Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.
