On Jan. 18, 1958, June married her soul mate and best friend, Joseph John Tardiff Sr. and the couple resided in Bath to raise their family.
June was a stay at home mom, a job she was very proud of. Raising her family was the most important to her, there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them. In her spare time you would find her reading a good book, she had a passion for reading and would read every chance she had. She was a special lady with a big heart and will be sadly missed by those that loved her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in November of 2011, and a son, Howard Tardiff.
June leaves behind three sons, Joseph Tardiff Jr. of Arrowsic, Gene Tardiff and his wife Sheri of Wales, and David Tardiff and his wife Cindy of Lisbon, lots of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and many friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
