In boys Class A lacrosse, Brunswick’s TJ Sullivan, Cam Glover, Eli Downs, Chris MrVichin and Ian Schlosser each earned First Team selections, with Matt Brooks on the Second Team, and Honorable Mentions going to Owen Ginty, Christian Glover, Ezra Rogers and Lucas McCue, who also earned All-Academic recognition.
Cam Glover was named the KVAC Class A Player of the Year.
Mt. Ararat’s Devin Monteiro and Jack Mickles made the First Team, while Jordan Castonguay and Connor Reed are All-Academics.
Morse boys lacrosse players Alec Beveridge and Kyle Perry made the KVAC Class B First Team, while Dylan Crowell, Kevin Tolan and James Lusier earned Second Team honors. Oliver Kruze was named to the All-Academic team.
In girls lacrosse, Morse’s Sophie Sreden was named the KVAC Class B Player of the Year, while longtime Shipbuilders coach Linda Levesque was selected as the Coach of the Year. Joining Sreden on the First Team were teammates Isabelle Paulus and Julia Hart, while Shipbuilders Maddy Olsen, Emma Rossetti and Cat Sener are on the Second Team. All-Academic honors went to Paige Martin.
For Brunswick, Grace Rabinowitz is a First Teamer, while Caley Nicholson, Sasha Hampton and EmaLeigh Aschbrenner made the Second Team. Anna McMillan and Shannah Duffy were Honorable Mentions. Natalie Grant, Rabinowitz and Nicholson are All-Academic recipients.
Mt. Ararat standouts Sierra Gilley and Carly Raymond made the KVAC Class A First Team in girls lacrosse, with teammate Rebecca Schuman on the Second Team. All-Academic Eagles are Connie Hodges, Dani Krause, Danielle Palmer and Bailey Sullivan.
In track, Walter Martin, Jason Higginbotham, Zach Miller, John Murphy, Chris Tanner and Reed Foster are joined by Dragon teammates Teresa Murphy, Tessa Cassidy, Lena Martin, Anna Turner, Tiffany Tanner and Anna Cowan on the KVAC All-Conference squad in Class A. Honorable Mention went to Brunswick’s Sam Nichols and Ruth Van Kampen.
From Mt. Ararat, Justin Pierce, Andrew McCracken and Kelly Lynch made the squad.
All-Academic honors in track went to Brunswick’s Martin, Miller, Kadin Woolever, Cowan, Amy Lyons, Murphy and Turner, along with Mt. Ararat’s Shea Nelson, Nick Rancourt, Nick Rogers, Sam Wood, Maggie Broughton, Emmie Cox, Katie Frizzle, Carly LaVallee and Nicole Ross.
In softball, Morse’s Lauren Chandler, Morgan Cram and Kaitlyn Dube made the All-Academic team, while Brunswick’s Julia Carpenter and Mary Sasso made the grades.
Mt. Ararat’s Devon Hutchins was selected to the KVAC Class A Second Team, while Brunswick’s Ashley Howe and Sasso are Honorable Mentions.
John Parker made the KVAC baseball First Team for Brunswick, while Honorable Mentions went to Dragons Brady Larson and Adam Casey, who also earned All-Academic honors. Mt. Ararat’s Michael Abreu and Ellison Etnier also made the grades, while Morse’s Andrew LaCavera (First Team), Trenton Moore (Second Team) and Chris Paulus (Academic) were recognized.
Maisie Silverman was selected as the KVAC Girls Tennis Player of the Year. Joining the Bates College-bound athlete on the KVAC First Team were Ali Stankiewicz, Leah Soloway, Lyse Henshaw and Elizabeth Day. Honorable Mention went to Kira Wolpow. On the All-Academic team are Silverman, Soloway, Stankiewicz and Madeline Cowan.
Mt. Ararat’s Christine Levesque made the KVAC Class A Second Team, with Eagles Julia Kaletka, Isabella Leon and Marie Ring All-Academics.
Morse tennis players Meaghan Harper and Lynn Swanson earned All-Academic honors.
In boys tennis, Morse’s Thomas and Matthew Jarmusz earned KVAC Class B First Team honors, while Shipbuilders coach Steve Boyce was presented the Coach of the Year honor.
The KVAC Class A Boys Tennis Player of the Year went to Mt. Ararat freshman Nick Mathieu, who also earned First Team honors.
Brunswick boys tennis players Angelo Girardi and Cormick Gaughran made the KVAC Class A First Team, with Ross Munn and Joel Soloway picking up Honorable Mentions. Joel Soloway is also on the All-Academic team.
The Distinguished Dragon Award went to Brunswick athletes Ryan Black, Anna Cowan, Larson, Lyons, Ryan Maciejewski, Martin and Turner, along with Lily Sanders and Madeline Cowan. The award is presented to those seniors who played three sports in all four years of high school.
Earning Eastern A Sportsmanship Awards from the Maine Principals’ Association were Brunswick’s boys lacrosse team and the Dragons softball team.
