OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Priscilla J. Hood, 81, of Old Orchard Beach, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at her home in Old Orchard Beach.
She was born in Watertown, Massachusetts on Nov. 22, 1932, to Charles and Maguerite (Bilodeau) Flynn.
She graduated from Belmont High School in Belmont, Massachusetts in 1951 and came to the area in the late 1960s.
In 1966, she married Joseph J. Hood in Boston.
Over the years, Priscilla did secretarial work for MIT, Shawmut Bank and Unum in Portland.
Priscilla was known for her impeccable fashion sense and with that was a love for shopping and sewing. She also greatly enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Joseph J. Hood; and son, Scott J. Hood.
Priscilla is survived by: one son, Ronald H. Hood of Biddeford; and three grandchildren, Veronica T. Hood of Old Orchard Beach, Hayden H. Hood of Biddeford and Karlee M. Hood of Oklahoma.
Visiting hours will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 11 a.m. to noon. A memorial service will be at noon on Saturday at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. To share condolences online, visit www.hopememorial.com.
