AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine senators are heading back to Augusta to consider Republican Gov. Paul LePage’s nominees for top judicial posts.

The Democratic-controlled Senate will be back in session on Thursday to vote on whether to confirm Jeffery Hjelm to the Supreme Court of Maine and Deputy Attorney General William Stokes to Superior Court.

The two were unanimously endorsed by the Judiciary Committee last week.
