SACO — Jane M. (Silcox) Redlon, 68, of Saco, died at home, with her family around her, on Thursday, July 31, 2014.
She was born May 29, 1946.
Jane attended Saco schools and graduated from Thornton Academy in 1964.
She worked for many years at UNUM, and retired early to pursue the activities she loved most: gardening, camping, cooking, and socializing with friends and family. Jane was happiest when she was cooking for and feeding a crowd of family and friends, and was famous among them for her pickles and jams.
Jane was preceded in death by: her parents, Russell and Lucille Silcox.
She is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Skip; daughter, Rebecca and her partner Todd Closson of Portland; son, John and his wife Eva St. Pierre of Saco; two grandchildren, Parker Jay and Ella Rose Redlon; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Lynn Silcox of Hollis; two nephews, Erik and Karl Silcox; her paternal aunt, Esther (Silcox) Caldwell; and several cousins.
In keeping with Jane’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours, and services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Cote Funeral Home in Saco.
