The Maine Red Claws will offer four free basketball clinics this week for children ages 7 to 14. The clinics are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as follows: Monday, Skehan Recreation Center in Hampden; Tuesday, Alfond Youth Center in Waterville; Wednesday, Central Maine Community College in Auburn; Thursday, South Portland Recreation Center. Parental permission is required. Waiver forms can be downloaded at www.maineredclaws.com.
All-Star invitational senior soccer games, featuring high school players from the SMAA against the WMC, will be held Tuesday at Westbrook High, starting with the boys’ game at 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Maine. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students.
