Capt. Norman Stickney has been named public affairs officer for the Maine National Guard. Stickney earned his bachelor’s degree in studio art and new media design at the University of Maine at Orono and a master’s degree in information technology management from Capella University in Minnesota. He is currently the company commander of the 251 Engineer Company (SAPPER), 133 Engineer Battalion and previously worked with the National Guard as web content manager and web and graphic layout and design manager.
Maj. Michael Steinbuchel, the previous public affairs officer, will move to Brunswick where he will be serving as the executive officer for the 133 Engineer Battalion in its new company headquarters.
