Grandy Oats Granola has outgrown its location in Brownfield and will be moving to a school house in Hiram.

The company has 18 employees and produces 1 million pounds of organic granola, trail mix and roasted nuts a year.

Grandy Oats bought the 10,600-square-foot elementary school for $175,000 and plans to add another 2,000 square feet for a warehouse and loading dock. The company’s expansion plans call for a new gluten-free production area, as well as solar installation for the plant. Five new employees will be hired.
