The Biddeford Pool Community Club is sponsoring, “Artists by the Sea,” featuring a weekend-long exhibition of original acrylic, oil, watercolor and pastel works by 17 artists in the area. All artworks will be for sale. The event begins with an opening on Friday evening, Aug. 8 from 5-7 p.m., and will be open Saturday, Aug. 9 and Sunday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Biddeford Pool Community Club is located on the corner of Yates Street and Lester B. Orcutt Boulevard in Biddeford Pool.
The Kennebunk River Club will be open to the public on Sunday, Aug. 10 from 1-5 p.m. and on Monday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the celebration of its 59th annual Art Show, featuring more than 80 Maine artists working in a variety of mediums. Digital media artist Laurence Gartel will show his art cars and produce a new one, during an exhibit at Morong Falmouth Volkswagen, Mazda, Porsche, Audi, located at 187 Route 1, Falmouth, from Aug. 7-10.
