Heart of Biddeford’s Music in the Park on Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 5:30-7 p.m. will feature the Connor Garvey Trio, “acoustic funky-folk-rock for the good hearted,” in Shevenell Park.

Thursday, Aug. 14

A fundraiser for the U.S. Para Equestrian Association will take place at the Biddeford Panera store on Thursday, Aug. 14 from 2-8 p.m. A portion of the food sales during that time will be donated for customers who show a flyer in support of the association. Panera is located at the Shops at Biddeford Crossing off Route 111 in Biddeford. Email Mary Jordan at [email protected] to have a copy of the flyer sent to you, which you can print out and hand to the cashier. If 50 flyers are turned in, Panera will donate 20 percent of all sales to the cause, said Jordan.

Friday, Aug. 15

The 31st annual Beach Olympics are three days of fun competition, music, displays and a presentation to benefit Special Olympics Maine, set for Aug. 15-17 in Old Orchard Beach. Located in the Town Square and Palace Playland, all are welcome. For more information, call 934-2500.

Saturday, Aug. 16

A zucchini fair will be held at First Parish Congregational Church, 12 Beach St., Saco, on Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate the vitality of the zucchini, living green and healthy living.

Old Orchard Beach’s annual 5K race, with a kid’s fun run, through the town will be Aug. 16. T-shirts and medals will be given to the kids, with other awards for divisional winners. All are welcome. For more information, call 282-3607 or visit www.breakaway5k.org.

The Lebanon Fire Department and the Ladies Auxiliary will be having a yard sale 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Lebanon Fire Department, 3 Upper Cross Road. The department is looking for donations; please no electronics or large furniture. The yard sale benefits the fire department and the Ladies Auxiliary. Call 457-3922 to make a donation.

The Wells Summer Concert series will feature The Spectras on Aug. 16, playing rock, soul, rhythm & blues. The free concerts are held every Saturday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Hope Hobbs Gazebo at Wells Harbor Community Park. Spectators may bring blankets, chairs and picnics.

The final performance of the free classical concert series at the Franciscan Guest House will feature Dr. Frances Covalesky and Danute Mileika Saturday, Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. Any donations will benefit the Franciscan Monastery.
