YORK — York Hospital recently welcomed three new surgeons to its medical staff.

Dr. E. James Hanowell joins Surgery Associates from Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, New Hampshire. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and doctorate in osteopathic medicine from The University of New England College of Medicine. He then completed his residency at Graduate Hospital of Drexel University, Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, and was chief resident at Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Elizabeth Helmer joins Surgery Associates from Medical University Center in Savannah, Georgia. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and medical degree from Wayne State University of Medicine in Michigan. She then completed her residency at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, along with a Burn Fellowship at University of California at San Diego.

Surgery Associates also announces the recent addition of Dr. Kimberly Marble. A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, she completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Connecticut, and a fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and then Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Dr. Marble is a board certified plastic surgeon and member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and has been in practice for more than 15 years. She is now accepting patients for breast reconstruction procedures.

Surgery Associates of York Hospital’s new office location, now open at 16 Hospital Drive, Suite A, York, is located on the main level of the Henry F. Warner Building on the hospital campus.

Also at Surgery Associates are Drs. Philip Anderson, Darin Miller, James Stuart and Thomas Albright, and physician assistant Douglas Bennett.
