Popham Day
Friday is Popham Day. The village will feature a treasure hunt and a pirate invasion (1 p.m.), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Great prizes, sword fights, talking like pirates, and costume contests! The Jolly Roger will be flying and cannons will be booming.
A cookout will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chapel House, then a fish and chips dinner (hamburgers, hotdogs, and soda for landlubbers) between 5-7 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., Parade and Flare night, an annual favorite, will take place. The parade starts at Fort Baldwin and moves through the village. At dusk, the beach will glow with flares and bonfires.
