ALTHOUGH IT IS STILL early in the election season, candidates have taken out nomination forms for the school board and town council election. The deadline for returning nomination forums for the November election is Sept. 5. At large candidates need 100 signatures in order to get their names on the ballot, district candidates need 25.

Here is an update as to which candidates have taken out and returned nomination forms as of Aug. 18, according to the town clerk’s office:

— Town council

At Large: Katherine Wilson took out forms July 28 and turned them in Aug. 8. John Portela took out forms July 28, turning them in on Aug. 13.

District 5: Gerald Favreau (incumbent) took out forms July 28. Daniel Harris took out forms July 31, turning them in Aug. 8.

District 7: Sarah Brayman (incumbent) took out forms Aug. 1.

— School board

At Large: William Hardy Thompson (incumbent) took out forms July 25 and turned them in on Aug. 15. Shannon Landry took out forms Aug. 1.

District 5: James Grant (incumbent) took out forms July 25.

District 7: Sarah Singer took out forms July 25, returning them on Aug. 1.
