WITH PAINT FLYING ALL AROUND, the Color Me Rad 5K was held at Brunswick Landing on Saturday. Thousands of runners took part in the event, which was run in several heats. In the photos, clockwise from the top of the page, runners jog alongside “Rad Rabbit” at the start of the 5K; Cadyn Wilson of Turner runs through a cloud of paint; Farmingdale’s Steve Howe crosses the finish line; the “green shade girls” get into a running rhythm; and Bath’s Dot Faulkner makes sure Carrie Plourde’s hair has enough pink in it. Plourde, who lives in Wiscasset, and Faulkner were volunteers for the popular event.
