OCEAN PARK — Maurice E. Pinette, 82, of Ocean Park died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at St. Andre’s Health Care Facility in Biddeford after a long illness.

He was born in Biddeford on May 25, 1932, the son of Ernest Joseph and Alice L. Cloutier Pinette.

He was educated in Biddeford schools.

On June 28, 1952 he married Theresa M. Wynne in St. Mary’s Church in Biddeford.

Mr. Pinette served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his discharge, he worked 32 years with York Heel in Biddeford and 19 years with Gabriel Electronics in Scarborough, retiring in 1994. In retirement, he continued to work part time for Gabriel Electronics.

Surviving are: his wife of 62 years of Ocean Park; three sons, Michael S. Pinette and his wife Laurie of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Kevin J. Pinette and his companion Sharon of Old Orchard Beach and Mark A. Pinette and his significant other Sherri of Lyman; one brother, Richard J. Pinette and his wife Jackie of Biddeford; one sister, Florence Scoville and her husband Tal of East Hampton, Connecticut; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 followed by a funeral service at noon at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
