BOSTON (AP) — An 18-year-old Boston man is facing arraignment for the weekend slaying of a young woman.
Keith Williams is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Dorchester Municipal Court on gun charges in connection with the fatal shooting Saturday morning of 26-year-old Dawnn Jaffier.
Police are awaiting ballistics test results.
Police say they do not think Jaffier the intended target of the shooting that occurred near a parade associated with the city’s annual Caribbean festival in Dorchester.
Jaffier was a Brighton resident who worked at a city elementary school and a Boys & Girls Club. Friends and co-workers described her as dedicated to the city’s youth.
It was not clear if Williams had a lawyer.
