RICHMOND — Gretchen S. Bischoff, 70, of Alexander Reed Road, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at her home.
She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., the daughter of Vince Wagner and Mary-Lou Sweeney.
Gretchen worked at Supervisor of Shipbuilding as a data analyst for 20 years. She retired as a civil servant in 2004.
She enjoyed animals, particularly her horses, dogs, cats and gardening.
Gretchen was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 27 years Mark Fitzgerald of Richmond, daughter Geneen Meagher and companion Derrick Saxon of Bowdoin, Kim Sabo and husband Frank of Clyde, Ohio, son Chris Lawrence and wife Becky of Deland, Fla., Jeff Lawrence and wife Mia of Orange City, Fla., sisters Sandy Fogg of Canastota, N.Y., Patricia Corney and husband David of Rochester, N.Y., Vicky Risterski and Nick of O’Fallon, Mo., grandchildren Andra, Molly, Colt, Kayla, Cole, Nikki, Logan, and great-grandchild Karli.
There will not be any funeral services.
In Gretchen’s memory, donations may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 190 Pleasant St., Brunswick, ME 04011 or Richmond Athletic Booster Club, Richmond, ME 04357.
Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
