WELLS — South Coast Senior College, housed at York County Community College, announced an expanded list of fall courses slated to begin the week of Sept. 13.
Classes are open to residents of York County and Seacoast New Hampshire who are age 50 or older. South Coast Senior College is the newest member in the 17-campus Maine Senior College Network and offers courses designed for adults with an interest in learning just for the joy of it. There are no entrance requirements, grades, or tests.
Classes to be offered in the fall include the following: Historic Structures of Central Europe, Book Talk, The World of Islam, Broadway Comes to Wells, Drawing for Adults, Telling Your Story, World War II through the Eyes of Ken Burns and The War, Conversational French, A Cooking School Series, and Antique Appraisals.
A fall kickoff is scheduled at YCCC in Wells today, Aug. 20. Prospective students will be able to meet the instructors and register for courses at the event, which begins at 4 p.m.
