SACO — Claire B. McKay, 85, of Saco, passed away late Tuesday morning on Aug. 26, 2014, at her residence.

She was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on Feb. 25, 1929, a daughter of Osylva and Maria (Fisette) Bergeron.

She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Berlin, New Hampshire, Class of 1947.

Claire was employed by Southern New England Telephone in New Britain, Connecticut for 20 years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed line dancing.

Mrs. McKay was a parishioner of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald McKay, on April 24, 1991; and one son, Donald “Frank” McKay, in June of 2007.

She is survived by: two sons, Jeremy McKay and his wife Lydia of San Diego, California and Gregory McKay and his wife Tracy of Ellington, Connecticut; one daughter, Michele Adams and her husband Kevin of Saco; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Kelly, Donald, Theresa, Megan and Travis; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Bergeron of Berlin, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Southern Maine Hospice for their amazing care and support during Claire’s illness.
