The NFL regular season is set to begin a week from today as the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers.
Readers will have a chance to pick the winners and win a prize. Each week, The Times Record will print the upcoming week of NFL action. Just clip it, make your choice and get the poll to The Times Record. All you need to do is drop it off to our office, located at 3 Business Parkway, or mail the picks to 3 Business Parkway, Suite 1, Brunswick ME 04011.
With Labor Day on Monday (The Times Record does not print that day), the poll for Week 1 will be available on Friday and Tuesday. After Week 1, the poll for the following NFL weeks will pubish on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Online subscribers can print the poll, make their picks and mail or drop off at The Times Record. Polls can also be picked up in The Times Record office. No purchase is necessary. Picks must be mailed or dropped off to our office. No emails, please!
Picks must be received by 4 p.m. on the Friday preceding the upcoming NFL weekend slate of games. The Week 1 deadline is Sept. 5 at 4 p.m.
Remember, the weekly winner receives a gift certificate from Admiral Steakhouse. In the event of a tie, a random name will be drawn for the prize.
Additonally, every Thursday throughout the NFL season, we will feature up-to-date news from around the league, along with a look at the weekend slate of games in our “TR Touchdown Thursday” page.
The Times Record staff will try to show off their skills in picking the weekly winners as well. Don’t expect much! I’m sure our faithful readers will be able to do much better than most of us.
Thursdays are not the only day to get your NFL fix. With busy Sundays, and Monday Night and Thursday Night football, the NFL will be featured just about every day in The Times Record.
