READING, Mass. — Evelyn P. (Moore) Bosworth of Reading, Mass., and a longtime summer resident of Popham Beach, Maine, died at her home on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014. She was 90 years of age.
Evelyn was born in Newton, Mass., on March 18, 1924, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Dailey) Moore. A Reading businesswoman, Evelyn was a longtime member of the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce. She owned and operated the Cheese Importer on Haven Street and was the publisher for the Suburban News. She was a member of the Old South United Methodist Church in Reading for over 50 years and sang in the church choir for over 50 years.
While spending her summers at Popham Beach she was a longtime and active member of the Popham Chapel and Circle. She was also an avid bridge player.  
Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Bosworth Sr.; and devoted mother of Carol E. Bartlett and her husband, Marshall of Bowdoinham, Maine; June O’Keefe-Burt and her husband, Richard of Reading; Harold K. Bosworth and his wife, Carlyn of Deerfield, N.H.; and the late Richard A. Bosworth Jr. She was the loving grandmother of Dan and his wife Carolyn, and Craig, Meghan, Christopher, Stephen, Richard, Veronica, Jesse and Joey; and great-grandmother of Jaydon.
A funeral service will be held at the Old South United Methodist Church, 6 Salem St., Reading, on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading. Visiting hours will be held today, Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 4-8 p.m. at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.), Reading.
