WELLS — The work of Maine and New England artists and craftsmen will be on display at the 26th annual Summer Solstice Craft Show, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6-7, at the Wells Elementary School on Route 109.
The show has become an end-of-summer tradition for visitors and locals alike. Seventy-plus artists and crafters display their wares inside and outdoors on the brick courtyard.
The Summer Solstice Craft Shows are known for their quality and variety of crafts, organizers say. Customers will find a wide variety of jewelry, pottery, photography, soaps, clothing and accessories, candles, wood crafts, fiber arts, handcrafted specialty foods and much more.
The craft show also includes live music provided by folk musician Carolyn Currie of Cumberland. Beach Dawgs Cafe will sell lunch.
The craft show is held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Admission and parking are free.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
