Hands-on tours begin again at Wilbur’s of Maine this Saturday. Wilbur’s is a Freeport Chocolatier. Guided tours of the factory will take place at 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:15 p.m. You’ll hear a little about Wilbur’s history, see behind the scenes at the factory, and make a little treat to take home. Tours last 30-45 minutes, and the cost is $4.50 per person.

On September 27, use caramel popcorn, chocolate, nuts, toffee bits and other candies to make your own “Wilbur Crunch”. Drizzle the whole batch with chocolate, break it into pieces and bag it to go. The perfect sweet and salty treat. $6 per bag, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Wilbur’s is located at 174 Lower Main Street, Freeport.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
