Maine State Police apprehended a Waldoboro man Sept. 5 who led troopers on a chase through Durham earlier in the week.

According to information from Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, Trooper Joel Wilkinson charged Wayne King with aggravated operation of a motor vehicle following a suspension and eluding a police officer. Police eventually found King’s purple Chevrolet Tracker behind a home on Leighton Road in Durham.

On Tuesday, Sept. 2, police had arrested King on charges unrelated to the chase. He was located in an apartment house in Lewiston.
