BOWDOINHAM — The ninth annual Dick George Golf Open was held at Country Fareways on Sunday, with 40 golfers teeing it up.
The team of Dennis Gallant, Jan Lucas, Pat Pratt and Rodney Pratt shot 5- under to take first place.
There was a playoff for second place with teams at 4- under-par. The foursome of Rick George, Kay George, Alan Kenney and Gary Hastings took home second in a tiebreaker with a closest-tothe pin shot on the 10th hole. Finishing in third was the foursome of Lee Gagne, Don Girardin, Bob Ouellette and Doug Self.
The overall closest-to-thepin winner was Pat Pratt, with her shot ending up 7-04 from the pin.
Through nine years, the event has now raised over $47,000 for the Brunswick Area Student Aid Fund.
