BIDDEFORD — Phillip C. Delcourt, 65, of Biddeford, died on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Togus.
He was born on March 24, 1949, the son of Leopold J. and Irene (Perreault) Delcourt.
He had worked at the Saco Tannery and also in Old Orchard Beach.
Phillip was disabled during his service in the Army. He had been involved with the Disabled American Veterans, AMVETS, American Legion and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Those who knew him said he had a “heart of gold.” He was known for his generosity to those around him.
Phillip was preceded in death by: his parents, Leopold and Irene Delcourt; and sisters, Shirly McAvoy and Cecile Delcourt.
He is survived by: three sisters, Anita Davis of and her husband Richard of Sandown, New Hampshire, Anne Houle and her husband Ray of Goffstown, New Hampshire, and Nancy Sarette and her husband Mike of Warner, New Hampshire; and several nieces and one nephew.
Visiting hours will be 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
