BATH — Sam Dorval, Kaleb Bernier and Forrest Blankenship led the offensive charge as the Brunswick High School freshman football team opened its season with a hard-fought 16-14 win over Morse on Thursday.

Dorval and Bernier each scored a touchdown, along with a pair of 2-point conversions by Blankenship.

Trailing 14-8 with 1:25 remaining, the Dragons converted a long fourth down from the Mo-12. Two plays later, Dorval scored to tie the game, with Blankenship tacking on the game-winning

2-pointer.

Defensively, Brunswick was led by Elijah Gagnon, Logan Williams and Sean O’Connell.

Brunswick is slated to host Gardiner on Thursday.
