OLD ORCHARD BEACH — A boating course will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The class runs for eight sessions at Old Orchard Beach High School. This course is approved in all states that require boater education.
Participants will learn everything they need to know to be a safe boater on inland and coastal waters. Topics include boat selection, navigation rules, legal requirements, equipment, emergency procedures and trailering.
The class is presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Saco Flotilla 24 in cooperation with the Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult Education program.
