In celebration of National Public Lands Day, Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge is hosting volunteer work days.

Two work days in Scarborough will take place on Friday, Sept. 26 and Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will plant native shrubs at the restoration site near Tenney Lane in Scarborough. All volunteers will receive a “fee-free” coupon for a free entry into their favorite federal public land areas that have entrance fees. Volunteers should contact Sarah Fensore to learn more and sign up for the events.
