The Windham and Raymond communities never cease to amaze me.
I am writing this letter to thank the Windham High School Project Graduation of 2014 Committee for their generous donation of $533 to the High School Lunch Program.
When I started my job at the High School in 2005, we had several kids that could not pay for their lunch. There were numerous instances when kids “took” food so that they weren’t hungry. In 2006, the High School started taking donations for a lunch account to feed kids who forgot their lunch money, or for those kids that just don’t have the money. Our thefts of food went from four or five a week down to two or three a month.
On behalf of the students of Windham High School whom you have assisted, please accept this letter of our heartfelt thanks for supporting this much-needed program.
