KENNEBUNK — David K. Reynolds Sr., 81, a life-long resident of Kennebunk, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 24, 2014 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, surrounded by his loving family.

Dave was born Aug. 27, 1933 in Kennebunk, a son of Kenneth Frank and Myra (Shuffleburg) Reynolds.

He attended Kennebunk schools.

He was a long-time lobsterman and fisherman off Kennebunkport.

Dave enjoyed antique cars, having owned four in his lifetime and restoring two himself. He loved spending time with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Jean Smith and Janice Burgess.

Dave is survived by: his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Tufts) Reynolds of Kennebunk; his two sons, David K. Reynolds Jr. and Darryl A. Reynolds, both of Kennebunk; a daughter, Debbie R. Spear and her husband Michael of Saco; two special daughters, Lorna Davis of Virginia and Sylvia Laskey of Florida; four grandchildren, Shannon, Mike, Amanda and Ryan; two great-granddaughters, Brittany and Megan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at Arundel Cemetery with Rev. James King officiating. Family flowers only please.
