Jack and Sharon (Lewis) Shaw were married on Sept. 5, 1964, at the First Baptist Church in Woolwich by the Rev. Baxter. Their grand adventure began with their honeymoon in New Hampshire on Labor Day weekend. Arriving late in the evening, they found no accommodations, but the Gorham police graciously allowed them to spend the night in the judge’s chambers. A drive up the Mt. Washington auto road was cut short when their car experienced transmission trouble midway up. They were forced to get turned around and head for home in second gear the entire way.

Jack, the son of Ivan and Jeanette Shaw, is the president of Jack A. Shaw & Sons Inc. and Sharon, the daughter of Forrest and Muriel Lewis, is the company’s vice president.

The couple celebrated by recently taking a trip to Hawaii and with a small family gathering.

Much love and many blessings from your children and grandchildren: Tammy Given and her husband Carl, Jason Shaw and his wife Rebecca Roche, Stacey Shaw, Shawnee Chute and her husband Christopher, Juliet Shaw, Zachery Shaw and Cheyenne Given.
