Cathance River Education Alliance (CREA) and the Topsham Library will host a program tonight in their monthly Community Nature Programs Series.
The program will take place at the Topsham Library from 6:30-8 p.m., and will feature CREA director Matt Dubel presenting: Inspired by Nature.
How are people drawing on the wisdom of nature to solve human problems? Join Dubel as he shares stories of eco-innovators who are using nature as a model for everything from growing food to designing products to making decisions. The program will explore exciting work in biomimicry, ecological design, industrial ecology, living economies, permaculture, and systems thinking.
Next month the Community Nature Programs Series will focus on the Gray Fox, “Tree Fox” from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the library. These events are free and family-friendly.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
