VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. — Larry L. Crowley passed away Sept. 24, 2014, at his home in Virginia Beach, Va. He was born in Brunswick, Maine, to Margaret Sinclair and Fred Crowley on April 15, 1943. Both are predeceased.

There will later be a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Brunswick.

He was a guitarist, song writer, country music entertainer. Playing with many other entertainers, including but not limited to: Ken McKenzie, Lone Star Ranch in NH; where he met many big names, Wheeling Jamboree in West Virginia many night clubs.

He started his career in plastics at Gottham Plastics and others. He later developed/ owned Troubleshooters Inc., troubleshooting plastic molding machinery.

He did family genealogy. The Crowley/Elwell genealogy is at the Brunswick library.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Brenda Elwell Crowley, also born and raised in Brunswick, Maine. They resided in Virginia for the past 12 years where Mr. and Mrs. Crowley, a.k.a., Vintage Country entertained in five cities. The couple recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. He is also survived by six sons, Larry D. Crowley, Gary Crowley, Patrick Crowley, Michael Crowley, John Crowley, and Kevin Crowley; a daughter, Ellen Crowley Hall; two stepchildren loved as his own, John A. O’Connell, Michelle O’Connell Dillman and a loving fury kid, Babyface; three brothers, James Crowley, Michael Crowley and Mark Prest; a sister, Roxanna Prest Kelly; also survived by his close aunt, Rose Coffill; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by a grandson, Stephen Dillman; two stepbrothers, Chuck and Walter Prest; a favorite uncle, Rick Coffill.
