LISBON FALLS — Deliah Schrieber scored three goals and Katherin George picked up one goal and one assist to lead the Lisbon High School girls soccer team to a 4-0 Mountain Valley Conference win over Winthrop on Tuesday.

The victory ended a threegame winless streak (0-1-2) for the Greyhounds, who improved to 6-1-2 on the season and visits Carrabec on Thursday (3:30 p.m.).

“We didn’t play as well as we wanted to, and we know that we have to play better,” said Lisbon coach Jake Gentle.

Schrieber, assisted by George, staked Lisbon to a 1- 0 lead at the midway point of the first half. Schrieber scored again with 7:29 left until halftime, and completed her hat trick 1:38 into the second half.

George scored on a penalty kick with 21:27 left to complete the scoring.

Ali Sult had two saves for the shutout, while Shie Smith turned aside 11 shots for Winthrop (1-7).

Lisbon held a 24-3 shots advantage and a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.

OXFORD HILLS 1

Libby Ouellette scored three goals as the visiting Eagles improved to 4-3-1 with a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win at South Paris.

Mikayla Morin converted a pass from McKayla Marois for the lone Oxford Hills goal.

Lauren Williams and Kate Guerin combined on five saves for Mt. Ararat, which visits Skowhegan on Friday (3:30 p.m.)

Sam Bickford turned aside 15 shots for the Vikings.

MED. VALLEY 0
MORSE 5

The host Shipbuilders started strong and kept up the pressure for a KVAC Class B win over Medomak Valley at McMann Field.

Amanda Gagne fed Brianna Williams for the opening goal at the 28-minute mark, and six minutes later Gagne hooked up with Miracle Trimble to give Morse (5-2-1) a 2-0 halftime lead.

Medomak Valley began the second half with a push, but Morse countered as Williams put home a rebound of a Lauren Pelletier shot. Williams completed her hat trick off a Trimble feed 10 minutes later, and Pelletier completed the scoring after taking a lead pass from Hope Faulkingham.

The Shipbuilder defense of Leia Graves, Emma Rossetti, Courtney Estabrook, Emma Gould, Sierra Wallace and Faulkingham held Medomak Valley to four shots, with Alesha Aucoin making four saves for the shutout.

Morse is slated to host Lincoln Academy on Thursday at 7 p.m.

MT. ABRAM 3

The struggling Wolverines dropped their sixth straight MVC contest at Strong.

Katie Jordan gave Mt. Abram a 1-0 lead with 6:27 remaining in the opening half. Lindsay Huff scored her first of two goals three minutes later for a 2-0 Roadrunners halftime advantage.

Miranda McIntire drew Wiscasset (3-6) within a goal early in the second half, but Huff completed the scoring.

Roadrunners goaltender Abby Brackley had six saves, while Wiscasset keeper Kayla Gordon turned aside seven shots.

The Wolverines are slated to host Oak Hill on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

CONY 1
BRUNSWICK 4

Four players scored one goal each as the host Dragons improved to 4-3-1 with a KVAC win over the Rams.

Lena Martin, Kassidy Scarponi, Kira Wolpow and Maeve Arthur tallied for Brunswick, which visits Lewiston on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Heather Kinee and Julia Champagne picked up one assist each for the hosts, and Dina Murphy and Madeline Brescia each turned aside two shots. Brunswick outshot Cony, 14-5.

“An excellent game by both teams,” said Brunswick coach Martyn Davison. “We passed the ball superbly today and some of our play was outstanding at times. We need to produce this more consistently in games and I was delighted with the style of play today. I thought Lena Martin, Molly Gramins, Heather Kinee and Kassidy Scarponi were all outstanding offensively, and defensively Emily Cowan, Aidan Sachs, Sarah Ferdinand and Sabina Smith were very good.”
