BIDDEFORD — Jeannette T. Caya, 90, of Biddeford, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at Southridge Living and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Dec. 25, 1923 in Biddeford, a daughter of Frank and Annie (Gagne) Thibault.

She attended Biddeford and Saco parochial schools and was a graduate of Thornton Academy in 1941.

On Jan. 5, 1946, she married Adrien J. P. Caya at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford.

She had been employed at the Saco-Lowell Shops, Boston Ordnance, and for 18 years, she was a legal secretary at the Spill & Spill Law Firm.

Jeannette had been a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church. She was a member of the Franco-American Genealogical Society of York County, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7997 of Old Orchard Beach and Biddeford.

After retirement, she spent winters with her spouse in St. Augustine, Florida and summers at Kennebunk Pond.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Adrien, on Oct. 14, 2013.

Surviving her are: two sons, Richard J. Caya and his wife Margaret and Robert G. Caya and his wife Cecile, all of Lyman; one daughter, Jacqueline E. Caya of Brandon, Florida; and one granddaughter, Christine Koryta and her husband Michael of Bloomington, Indiana.
