RICHMOND — Marcus Blake scored two first-half goals, and Brendan Emmons picked up a pair of goals in the second half as Richmond High School boys soccer team improved to 8-0 with a 4-0 win over Class C Traip Academy on Wednesday in non-conference action.

Cam Emmons added up a pair of assists, while Blake dished out a helper.

“The balls were being put in the right places,” said Richmond coach Peter Gardner, whose Bobcats host rival Greenville on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Matt Holt and Zach Small combined on three saves on six Traip (2-5-1) shots. Mike Stewart, Curtis Anderson and Logan Anair played well for the Bobcats.

Rangers goaltender Seth Emerson turned aside six shots on 12 Richmond attempts.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 4

Medomak Valley pulled away in the second half for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win over Morse, which fell to 1-6-1 and hosts Lincoln Academy today at 5 p.m.

Alex Fernald started in goal for the Shipbuilders, turning away 12 shots. Collin McCarthy relieved and made eight saves on nine shots.

Alec Beveridge played well for Morse.

WINTHROP 0

Nick Huston led a Lisbon scoring barrage with two goals as the Greyhounds earned a Mountain Valley Conference win at Winthrop.

Austin Fournier picked up one goal and two assists, with Bradley Boulet, Austin Bedford and Josh Huston adding one goal apiece. Jonah Sautter, Ryley Austin, Troy Galarneau and Reece Raustad adding an assist each.

Nate Bergeron had two saves for the shutout as Lisbon improved to 6-2-1 and visits Carrabec on Friday (3:30 p.m.).

Winthrop (0-7-1) netminder Matt Sekerak had 12 stops.
