AUBURN — Molly Nicholson scored with 1:43 left in the second overtime to lift the Lisbon High School field hockey team to a 1-0 Mountain Valley Conference win over St. Dom’s on Monday.
The Greyhounds improved to 11-1 and hosts rival Winthrop on Wednesday (3:30 p.m.). The Saints fell to 2-10-1.
Lisbon outshot St. Dom’s, 36-1 and held a 20-7 advantage in penalty corners, but it took Nicholson’s shot to the upper corner of the cage to finally solve Saints goaltender Taylor Bergeron, who had 32 saves.
Greyhound netminder Stevie Charest made one stop for the shutout.
The Shipbuilders fell to 1-11 with a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference loss to Mt. View, which improved to 7-3-2.
Megan Mikel and Risa Fox picked up two goals apiece, while Kersey Boulay and Reanna Boulay added one goal and one assist.
Bryanna Ringrose turned aside 21 shots in the Morse cage. The Shipbuilders return to action on Thursday at home against Winslow (7 p.m.).
