A free residential household hazardous waste drop-off collection — cosponsored by the towns of Brunswick, Harpswell, Bowdoin, Georgetown, Topsham and West Bath — will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Brunswick Public Works garage facility, located at 9 Industry Road in Brunswick.
The event is by appointment for residents of each sponsoring town and proof of residency will be required.
Clean Harbors Environmental Services will have technicians at the drop-off area to collect hazardous materials for transport to an approved disposal site. A list of acceptable materials for this event is available at www.brunswickme.org/dp w or from a representative of each sponsoring town.
