HUDSON, N.H. — Doris T. (Gagnon) Paquette, 84, of Hudson, beloved wife of Gerard Paquette, passed away on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, surrounded by her loving family, following a period of declining health.

Born in Lowell, Massachu-setts, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Aurore (Lajoie) Gagnon.

Raised and educated in Biddeford, Maine, she had been employed as a manager at Astro Circuit prior to her retirement.

A dedicated wife and mother, Doris’ family was paramount in her life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially gathering together for the holidays. Doris loved life, lived every day to the fullest, and possessed the uncanny ability to bring out the sunshine even in the darkest of days. A true adventurer, Doris explored the world by visiting her children in Germany, Italy, Peru, Venezuela and more. Doris cherished time spent with her sister, Claire, at Old Orchard Beach, eating fried clams and shopping on The Pier. An avid reader, Doris could always be found with a book or Kindle in hand. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be deeply missed.

Doris was preceded in death by: her son, Billy Paquette; two brothers, Paul and Robert Gagnon; granddaughter and spouse, Rosita and Piper Simmons; great-grandson, Sean Simmons; and son-in-law, Russell Croteau.

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage, Doris is survived by: her five children, Connie and Gary Webster, Ken and Laraine Paquette, Diane Croteau, Marie and Blake Miller, and Steve and Robin Paquette; her 12 beloved grandchildren; her 12 doting great-grandchildren; her sister, Claire and Andy Lessard; her special niece, Debbie and David Waterson; her sister-in-law, Roberta Gagnon; and extended family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Kathryn’s Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, followed by a committal service in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 102 Derry St., Hudson, and a celebration of life at The White Birch, 222 Central St., Hudson. Friends and relatives invited. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Doris’ memory to the Home, Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
