SANFORD — Those who wish to vote absentee or need to register to vote can take advantage of extended hours at the city clerk’s office on Thursday, Oct. 30. City Clerk Sue Cote said the clerk’s office will be open until 7 p.m. that evening, instead of closing at the usual time of 4:30 p.m.
The state deadline to request an absentee ballot is Thursday, unless a voter qualifies for special circumstances. Those with questions can call the city clerk’s office at 324-9125.
