LYMAN — Edmond “Ed” Wormwood, 57, passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, 2014, with his wife by his side, after an 18-month battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Saco on Aug. 8, 1957, the son of Edmond and Donna (Finnemore) Wormwood.

Ed attended Saco schools and worked many years in the shoe shop alongside his father.

Ed also worked in the family wood business since he was a young boy. He had knack for fixing things; if he didn’t know how, he worked on it until he figured it out. He truly was a “Mr. Fix-It.”

He loved fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and most especially spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the sparkle in his beautiful, blue eyes.

Ed was preceded in death by: his sister, Diane Wormwood, in 2012.

Ed is survived by: his wife of 27 years, Patricia; children, Edmond R. Wormwood II, Tanya and her husband Ryan Berry, Crystal and her husband Pete Vitello, all of Biddeford, Troy Tracy and Edmond “Zeke” Tracy; his father, Edmond Wormwood and his wife Margaret of Dayton; his mother, Donna Caron and her partner Joe Bouvier of Old Orchard Beach; brothers, Robert Wormwood of Saco, William Wormwood and his wife Vicky of Limington, and Ron Wormwood and his wife Sarah of Dayton; sisters, Patricia Shryock and her husband David of Waterboro, Michelle Caron and Brenda Caron, both of Old Orchard Beach; eight grandchildren, Erika, Hailey, Myles, Mercedez, Memphis, Riddik, Peter II and Brooklyn; several nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and great-nephews; and a lifelong best friend through it all, Steve Rowe of Biddeford.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 1-3 p.m. with a memorial service at 3 p.m. immediately following at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco. Pastor Merle Mitchell of the Faith Lighthouse Assembly of God will officiate.
