BATH — Emily Martin scored three goals for a hat trick in the Bath Middle School girls “A” soccer team’s 3-0 win over Auburn Middle School to end its season. Logan Truluck, Macie Gagne and Lainey Laband collected an assist each on Martin’s goals.
Paige Faulkingham and Abby Sreden split time in net in the shutout. Mae Winglass, Maddie McDonough and Rosalyn Bragg were noted for outstanding defensive play to keep the Auburn offense out of the box.
Margaret Keating held down the midfield with Jenny Wilbraham to keep the ball in the offensive zone. Other standouts were Nelly Shields, Zoe Sreden and Emily Belanger.
In earlier action, Martin converted a pass from Keating to give the Destroyers a 2-1 win over Lewiston on Wednesday.
Down 1-0, Gagne scored on a penalty kick to get the Destroyers into a 1-1 deadlock at the half.
Abby Sreden played well in goal for Bath, while strong offense came from Belanger, Truluck and Dory Kulis.
The defense held off Lewiston, led by Mae Winglass, Bragg and McDonough.
