Rep. Denise P. Harlow, a Democrat who has served in the seat since 2010, was re-elected to another term representing District 36 in the Maine House of Representatives.

Harlow received 59.4 percent of the vote, easily beating challengers Samuel K. Chandler, 26, a teacher and social worker ran for the seat as a Green independent, and Richard A. Dodge, a Republican.
