Republican Michael J. Timmons narrowly won the Maine House seat representing District 45.
Timmons, 71, a retired teacher and principal from Cumberland, got 2,472 votes, or 50.3 percent of the vote.
Democrat Dale Denno, 64, a retired state agency director from Cumberland, got 49.7 percent of the vote.
The district includes Cumberland and part of Gray.
