WELLS (AP) — Police in Wells, Maine say they pulled a body from the surf on Moody Beach on Thursday morning.

The Portland Press Herald reports the Wells Police Department received a call from someone who was walking dogs on the beach and found the body of an elderly woman. Police say the death is not suspicious. They say it appears to be the body of a local resident who was disoriented and ended up in the water.
