ACCORDING TO NUMBERS provided by Town Clerk Fran Smith, voter turnout Tuesday in Brunswick was greater than the 2010 governor’s race, but less than the 2012 presidential election.

During the 2010 governor’s race, 9,302 residents voted. Of that 5,613 voted at the polls, with the remaining voting absentee.

In the 2012 presidential election, 12,088 residents voted, of which 7,823 went to the polls at the junior high school.

This most recent election saw 10,163 voters, of which 7,522 voted at the polls.
