Here are some of the events scheduled for Tuesday:

LEWISTON – Pass and review ceremony for all veterans service organizations and color guards at 10 a.m. in the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. The public is welcome. Sponsored by the Lewiston/Auburn Veterans Council.

NEWFIELD – Readings, flag raising and wreath-laying ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the veterans monument in front of the town office, 637 Water St., Newfield. Refreshments will be served in the library. Presented by the Newfield Historical Society.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Flag-raising ceremony at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, followed by a chowder luncheon at the American Legion Hall on Imperial Street.

PORTLAND – Parade begins at Longfellow Square at 10:30 a.m. and will proceed down Congress Street, ending at 11 a.m. at City Hall, where there will be a ceremony, speeches and a wreath-laying ceremony. Congress Street will be closed to traffic from 10:15 to 11 a.m.

RICHMOND – Parade starts at 11 a.m. at the Richmond Business Park. Refreshments will be served following the parade at American Legion Post 132 on Carding Machine Road.

SACO – Parade starts at 10 a.m. at the corner of Beach and Main streets in Saco, winds down York Hill and up Main Street in Biddeford to Veterans Memorial Park.

SOUTH PORTLAND – Parade starts at 10 a.m. at Southern Maine Community College and ends at the military monument in Mill Creek Park.
