
She graduated from Lisbon Falls High School in 1935 and she graduated from nursing school in Portland in 1937. She worked for over 30 years at the Veteran’s Hospital in Togus. Miriam was a member of the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
She is survived by three nephews: Ralph and his wife Carol Day of Lisbon Falls, Frank and his wife Maryfrances Day of Georgia, and Arthur and his wife Margaret Day of Texas. She also leaves behind a greatniece, two great-nephews, a great-great-niece and two great-great-nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Truman and Neal.
A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church in Lisbon Falls. Interment is at Pleasant View Cemetery in Durham. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may make a charitable contribution in her memory to: Lisbon Falls Baptist Church, P.O. Box 160, Lisbon Falls, ME 04252- 0160.
